WORDS UNBOUND
A program of From The Roots, in partnership with
Living Words
Every person has a story worth telling. Words Unbound creates the space, the support, and the community for those stories to find their voice — through creative writing workshops, literacy programmes, storytelling events, and publishing guidance for emerging writers.
WHAT WE DO
Words Unbound is the creative writing and literacy arm of From The Roots. In partnership with Living Words, we offer three ways to support writers and storytellers at every stage of their journey.
CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOPS
Community writing sessions for all levels
Guided creative writing sessions open to all — fiction, memoir, poetry, and personal narrative. A space to write, share, and be heard without judgment. Beginner-friendly and culturally inclusive.

LITERACY & STORY TELLING
Reading, storytelling and language programs
Community literacy initiatives celebrating the power of story — read-alouds, storytelling circles, children's literacy programmes, and events that bring words to life across generations and languages.

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LIVING WORDS
Words Unbound runs in partnership with Living Words — a community publishing imprint under Poorni's Artistry dedicated to bringing new voices to the printed page. Living Words publishes books by Poornima Magadevan and supports emerging authors — particularly young writers — through selective publishing opportunities.
Together, From The Roots and Living Words believe that every voice deserves a space to be heard, and every story deserves the chance to find its reader.
GET INVOLVED
Whether you want to join a writing workshop, bring Words Unbound to your school or community organisation, or explore publishing support — we would love to hear from you.
